About Carla

My passion is making sites "human and search engine lovable". I'm a fierce advocate for Web users everywhere. I love to gets inside the user’s head to ensure site designs really work. I combine psychology and ergonomics to understand what makes a site engage and inform. I also understand the ins & outs of search engines so users can find those amazing sites. I'm also known to throw a mean dinner party.

Originally from middle America, I moved to London, England, to launch a consulting practice. I then went on to start my own business in London, Orbit8 Wireless. My latest pet project is Stickyseeds | Growing Sites & Getting Users Stuck. These projects have taken me all over the globe, working with teams in India, writing travel stories in Cuba, or simply chilling in Java (the island, not the code).
